Minnesota Wrecking Crew

A Brief History of the Anderson Family in Professional Wrestling

The Andersons are one of pro-wrestling's greatest families, known worldwide as the infamous Minnesota Wrecking Crew. Their history is explored here in a timeline that stretches across five decades.

Month by month, year by year, the story unfolds with all the angles, feuds, territories, and traditions. It is all here in one concise reference book sure to bring back great memories of a time long ago when men were men - and the toughest of them were named Anderson.

Gene Anderson was the first, the original, and the foundation. In Anderson lore, he is joined by his brothers Lars and Ole, and later by cousin Arn, son Brad, and nephew Bryant. Another cousin winds his way through this tale as well - the "Nature Boy" Ric Flair!

Over 40 vintage photographs from throughout their amazing careers!

With research drawn from thousands of match listings and newspaper results, as well as hundreds of hours of audio and video tape, Minnesota Wrecking Crew is a complete look at the Anderson dynasty in professional wrestling.

A great Gene Anderson story from Roddy Piper, including the best compliment Roddy says he ever received.

"With the Horseman DVD in production people have asked me my opinion of Ole Anderson. Firstly, the Horseman DVD wonít be as good as it could be without Oleís input. Secondly, Ole was a brilliant, wrestling mind who was a tough son of a gun and an excellent wrestler.

He might never be elected Mr. Congeniality but that job doesnít pay too well as best I know. Ole was challenging to work for at times but I learned a great deal from him as it relates to the business. I donít think he likes me much but aside from that I have great respect for him and regard him as one of the best in ring talents I ever saw. His partnership with the late Gene Anderson was awesome."

Ole Anderson and the Masked Superstar Bill Eadie reunite at an event in Athens, GA. in Sept. 2006.

The two wrestlers are synonymous with the white-hot period when Georgia Championship Wrestling was the highest rated program on all of cable television in the early 1980s.
