One of the greatest professional
wrestlers to ever step through the ropes was the legendary Johnny Weaver.
Weaver's career spanned nearly four decades, with nearly 30 years
spent right here in the Mid-Atlantic wrestling territory.
Johnny Weaver passed away in February
of this year, just a little over three months after making his last
appearance in a wrestling ring for ACW Wrestling at the Night of
Legends event in Rocky Mount. Weaver greeted his many fans that
night, and even applied his famous sleeper hold for what would be
the last time as well, leaving ACW's Eclipso out cold in the ring!
On November 1st, Night of the
Legends II took place in Rocky Mount VA at the
National Guard Armory, where friends and family of Johnny Weaver
gathered with ACW wrestlers and some of Mid-Atlantic Wrestling's
legends from the past to pay tribute to arguably this area's
greatest wrestling star ever.

ring in the 1960s and 1970s to be raffled in support of ACW's
sponsor and primary charity "We Care of Franklin County". The raffle
is currently underway with tickets available now. The raffle will continue through the month of
November and will conclude December 6 at the annual Christmas event
