Representations of Mr. Wrestling Tim Woods as United States Champion and NWA TV Champion |
Mr. Wrestling Tim Woods was a stalwart in the Mid-Atlantic area in the mid-to-late 1970s, feuding with such stars as Johnny Valentine, Blackjack Mulligan, Baron Von Raschke, the Anderson Brothers, Buddy Rogers and Jimmy Snuka, and many other.
He entered the area without his mask, but in 1976 he put the mask back on to team with Dino Bravo to upset Gene and Ole Anderson for the NWA World Tag Team championships on "Mid-Atlantic Championship Wrestling."
Extremely popular where ever he went, Woods was is most remembered for his campaigns in Georgia and the Mid-Atlantic area.
Special thanks as always to Mike Simmerman for these cool photos representing some wonderful times in the Mid-Atlantic Wrestling area.
