from the Piedmont Airlines employee newspaper
December 1, 1983

Steve Musulln is a man with dual careers.

Employees at GSO know him as a part-time agent who can load the belly of an aircraft much easier than most. But when he leaves Piedmont. those muscles really get a workout In his other job as a professional wrestler.

A native of Charlottesville, Musulin attended Guilford College near Greensboro on a football scholarship. The year he graduated, he was chosen by the Associated Press as a First Team All-American tackle. Up until that time, his only contact with wrestling had been as an amateur arm wrestler placing in the National AAU Arm Wrestling Championship.

When a knee injury kept him from turning to professional football. a wrestling promoter gave him an opportunity to train with some professional wrestlers and eventually go on tour. He did so well that in 1979, he was named Rookie Professional Wrestler of the Year.

"I've traveled extensively throughout the United States as well as to nine for cign countries on tour," Musulin said. "Working at Piedmont has given me a chance to decrease my tour wrestling to several times a week and spend more time with my family at home. Now I can train as a body builder while still holding a good job at Piedmont."
